Learn authentic figures and footwork from the era of Jane Austen!

BAERS (the Bay Area English Regency Society)
is pleased to present a Regency dance workshop with

Susan de Guardiola

June 26, 2004 ~ 2:30-5:30pm

Arlington Community Church
52 Arlington Avenue, Kensington, California
(in the hills above Berkeley)

Subscription $10

Susan will present authentic but accessible dance figures and steps from her own research into 19th century sources, accompanied by live music by James Langdell.

The workshop precedes the BAERS Masters and Commanders Ball, an early-nineteenth century British Naval Ball which starts at 8:00 pm, giving enough of a break that you can get dinner and change clothes. The ball will give an immediate opportunity to try out your footwork, but the workshop is not required for the ball. Combined ball and workshop admission is $25.

For more information about BAERS or the workshop, please see the BAERS website, email Alan, or call (650) 365-2913.
