Join us at a special venue for this year's Science Fair --
get hands-on experience with really old-school science
in our booth at the Makers Faire, April 22-23,
at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds!

There are still a few days left to sign up as a Historickal Scientist!

Your presentations may include, but are not limited to:
  • Demonstrations
  • Dioramas
  • Posters
  • Lectures
  • Craft projects
  • Models
  • Experiments
  • Inventions

Past presentations have included the following scientific topics
:
  • Scents and perfumes
  • Leeches and bloodletting
  • Astronomy
  • Mr. Fulton's submarine
  • Mesmerism
  • Entomology
  • Women in science
  • Dress sleeve size and the
    state of the economy
  • Mary Shelley & Frankenstein
  • Carnivorous plants
  • Rocketry

We especially seek presentations on such topics as engineering, mathematics, medicine, undersea exploration, and other scientific and technological matters. Presentations that invite audience participation are particularly welcome. However, feel free to propose your own work for the Academy's rigorous review. You are not limited to the sciences studied in England. Remember, nobody at the fair, including you, will know any scientific discoveries from later than approximately 1830. Any idea, however outrageous, will be considered for inclusion. The committee fully appreciates the fact that the greatest scientific minds were ridiculed in their time.

Deadline to sign up as a participant in the science fair is April 15th, 2006.

Would you like to participate? Email tamago@flick.com or beltedswiss@moocow.com, as soon as possible!
